Rand Paul skips debate, delivers message to media with hand gesture

In a radio interview on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul said his supporters have a message for the media, which he demonstrated with a simple hand gesture.

The Republican candidate was angry about being excluded from Fox Business Network’s main stage for the Republican debate due to his low poll numbers.

“99 percent of our supporters are calling in and saying…” the Kentucky senator continued by raising his middle finger in an interview with ABC News Radio’s Aaron Katersky.

Paul ended up skipping the debate completely.

The supporters he mentioned did not seem to materialize on social media, as many of the comments were not favorable.

Though there were some who agreed with Paul.
