German officials are proving the disaster that happens when you mix really dangerous policy with political correctness.
The Blaze’s Dana Loesch joined Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File” Wednesday calling the cover-up of mass sexual assaults reported during crowded New Year’s Eve celebrations in Cologne, Germany a product of political correctness run amok.
“It’s offensive on its face,” Loesch said. “And it was all done for the sake of political correctness, because German officials didn’t want to rock the boat.”

Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker took the cover-up so far as to “shame” and blame the victims, Loesch stated. Loesch referred to Reker who advised women to use a “code of conduct” when out in public to avoid rape. Reker even went so far as to say women need to keep “one arm length distance” from male strangers.
Pretty hard to do if you’re being swarmed in a crowd, separated from your group, and manhandled by multiple men as dozens of women reported.
Reports also included that the perpetrators were either from Northern Africa or of Arabic descent and spoke foreign languages other than German.
That is the little tidbit, Loesch and others believe, that has led to the suspected cover-up by German officials. German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to allow an unprecedented one million migrants into the country has been met with controversy. The latest reports of mass assaults, and even rape in several instances, will likely add fuel to growing anti-migrant sentiment.
Loesch and Kelly, incensed by New Year’s Eve events, let Reker have it. “I don’t care if she’s in Germany,” Kelly hammered.
“This mayor’s going to have to dial it back, and she’s going to have to come out and issue a public apology.”
Kelly and Loesch were not alone in their anger:
@FoxNewsInsider @DLoesch @megynkelly this should be a huge wake up call for the U.S.

@slaboe @DLoesch Excellent analysis/clip. Wish women all over would make an issue out of the ‘she was asking for it’ lame excuse. BS!

@slaboe @DLoesch Where are the usually mouthy feminists to be found while these government-sanctioned sexual assaults are taking place?

Hi Mayor @HenrietteReker, how about a behavior guide for refugees not to savagely rape and abuse women of Cologne? https://t.co/g3I9h7po95
