Comedian Louis C.K. admitted to Howard Stern Wednesday that he did something to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin that he’d never done to any other person before — he apologized to her.

He met Palin face-to-face for the first time at the 40th anniversary party for “Saturday Night Live” two months ago. This was nearly five years after the comedian got drunk, boarded an airplane and, on a whim, tweeted the foulest things imaginable about Palin.
While at the “SNL” after-party, “I felt somebody tug at my elbow and it was her,” the comedian told Stern.
“She says, ‘Hey, I think you’re terrific. I think you’re really funny and my nephew told me I have to say hi to you and you’re the one guy I have to meet,’” Louis C.K. recalled. “Something came over me emotionally and I said, ‘Well, I owe you an apology.’”
He told Stern that was a first for him.
“I never in a million years apologized for anything I ever said,” he admitted.
When he told Palin, “I said some bad things about you,” she made him laugh by responding, “Well, you’re a vile person.”
She later invited him to go fishing any time he’s up in Alaska.

(WARNING: Extremely strong language. Palin was right. The guy is vile.)
