Immediately after meeting with American diplomatic personnel and their families at the U.S. embassy in Kingston, Jamaica, Wednesday night, President Obama visited the Bob Marley Museum.
Given that news has been completely void of problems in the Caribbean island nation, one has to wonder — was the true purpose of the visit to meet with embassy staff, or to cross the Bob Marley Museum off his bucket list while still on the taxpayers’ dime?

ABC News digital journalist Arlette Saenz tweeted:
President Obama is visiting the Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica right now
— Arlette Saenz (@ArletteSaenz) April 9, 2015
Print reporters were barred from the museum during the president’s visit. Justin Sink, who covers the White House for Bloomberg Business, tweeted:
Obama is visiting the Bob Marley museum in Kingston. No print reporters allowed to join him in the museum bc of space constraints…

The pool report said, according to The Weekly Standard:
At 8:48 p.m. the motorcade arrived at the Bob Marley Museum and saw aides including Ben Rhodes, Marvin Nicholson and Josh Earnest exit their vehicles. We did not, however, see POTUS as he entered and then took a brief tour of the museum, as only still photographers were allowed to cover this movement. Your pooler has registered strong objections to the White House about this.
New York Times photographer Steven Crowley graciously shares with the pool that POTUS reminisced as he looked at a wall of framed records, “I still have all the albums.”
The pool was led to the front of the museum, a large Victorian house whose courtyard has walls painted red, green and yellow and a statue of Marley playing his guitar out front among the palm trees. “One Love” was being piped from the speakers as POTUS emerged through the front door along with a young woman who the White House identified as his museum tour guide, Natasha Clark. They circled around back of the museum without a word from POTUS.
There is a sign out front of the museum that reads, somewhat incongruously given the venue, “No smoking eating drinking cameras cell phones.”
Obama has expressed his admiration for Marley in the past. But given that Marley’s name conjures automatic images of marijuana smoke billowing from bongs, bowls and blunts, Twitter users couldn’t help but wonder if it was more than Marley’s music Obama was nostalgic for.
@Eagle_Vision He’s probably hanging with the local choom squad.

“Choom” refers to smoking marijuana, and Obama and his friends at the Punahou School in Hawaii called themselves the “Choom Gang.”
@ArletteSaenz @FreeBeacon He & Marley knew one thing- good dope!

@ArletteSaenz @judith5519 oh thank God; it’s not like the world is in chaos right now or anything

Then there were these two:
@thehill he’s really getting his bucket list items in.

@weeklystandard That explains a lot!

Obama’s museum visit was unannounced, and not listed on the official White House schedule.
