Border Patrol agents testified before the Senate Homeland Security Committee Tuesday that they’re subject to “retribution.” if they report large groups of illegal immigrants.
“Agents who repeatedly report groups larger than 20 face retribution,” border agent Chris Cabrera told the committee in prepared testimony.
“Management will either take them out of the field and assign them to processing detainees at the station or assign them to a fixed position in low volume areas as punishment.”
Also this week, DHS revealed that it released more than 30,000 criminal illegal aliens into American society last year, noted “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Tucker Carlson.
John Gihon, former senior attorney with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, told Carlson that it has reached the point where it’s now a national security issue.
It’s not just those seeking a job and a better way of life who are making it through our borders, it’s also the criminal and terrorist element.
“If our government is systematically lying about how successful they are at preventing these things, there needs to be a full investigation and someone needs to pay the price for these lies,” Gihon said.
“We need more funding for border patrol, we need more agents, we need more and better technology, we need more and better training and we need it now.”
Co-host Anna Kooiman jumped in.
“Trying to suppress any problems, sweep it under the rug, downplay it typically just makes it grow even larger and rear its head even higher,” she observed.
