Oh no! Hillary’s new avatar hilariously more damning than her last

Only hours after the congressman in charge of investigating the Benghazi used Hillary Clinton’s Twitter avatar to draw national attention to the email scandal currently surrounding her, the former secretary of state changed out the iconic photo to the silhouette of an anonymous female.

The Twitter avatar Hillary Clinton introduced Sunday is ominously anonymous for one of the most famous women on the planet.

Clinton announced the change on Saturday, saying it was in recognition of Sunday’s International Women’s Day, which was Sunday. But if America’s experience with Hillary Clinton, in the past 20 years has taught anything, it’s that nothing she does lacks an ulterior motive.

It’s also taught that the Clintons understand the importance of their image, literally in this case.

Hip deep in an email scandal she’s so far refused to acknowledge in public appearances, Hillary had to know it was only a matter of time before the photo in the avatar, which showed her on a plane on the way to Libya, could be used against her.

The working-woman-on-the-go avatar is just reminding Americans to wonder what’s in the email Hillary’s so wrapped up in on this trip to Libya in 2011.

On Sunday, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy did exactly that. “On Face the Nation,” the chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi noted that the photo shows the American secretary of state making a trip to a notoriously troublesome country — and apparently checking email in the process — yet no documentation for the trip exists.

At the bottom of Clinton’s new — and likely shortlived — avatar are the words “NOT-THERE.ORG,” a nonprofit women’s advocacy group.

But “not there yet” could as easily be the motto of Clinton’s effort to return to the White House with her husband in tow.

It could also be the slogan of Gowdy’s probe into what really happened in Benghazi — and Hillary changing her avatar isn’t going to change that.

Here’s how Hillary announced it.

And here was some of the puzzled response.
