Mom, grandma, aunt have 6-year-old boy kidnapped, abused to ‘teach him lesson’ about being too nice

A 6-year-old Missouri boy was kidnapped and threatened with physical and sexual abuse at the behest of his mother, his grandmother and an aunt, in order “to teach him a lesson.” The lad’s offense? He was “too nice” to other people.

I can now safely say that I’ve heard everything.

According to USA Today, the boy’s aunt, Denise Kroutil, 38, asked a co-worker, Nathan Wynn Firoved, 23, to kidnap the boy and “scare” him because he was “too nice” to people.

Firoved agreed and then lured the boy, who was walking home from school, into his pickup truck.

Inside the vehicle, Firoved told the lad he would never “see his mommy again,” and he would be “nailed to the wall of a shed.”

He also showed the boy a gun and threatened to hurt him if he did not stop crying, USA Today reported.

The young victim’s face was then covered and he was taken into the basement of his own home, where family members removed his pants and told him he could be sold as a sex slave.

Firoved remained in mobile phone contact with the victim’s family members throughout the nightmare.

“The victim remained in the basement for some time before he was unbound and told to go upstairs, where the victim’s family lectured him about Stranger Danger,” according to a statement issued by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

The Division of Family Services was notified after the child told school officials about his ordeal. He’s now in protective custody.

Firoved, Kroutil and Rose Brewer, 58, the boy’s grandmother, were charged with felony kidnapping, felonious restraint, and felony abuse and neglect of a child, the Sheriff’s Office said. The victim’s mother, Elizabeth Hupp, 25, of Troy was charged with felony kidnapping and felony abuse and neglect of a child. The four are being held at the Lincoln County Jail on $250,000 bond.

The family members claimed to investigators that they did nothing wrong — they only wanted to teach the boy a lesson.
