Children ages 2-8 guzzle rum cocktails before restaurant notices mistake

What’s the difference between a Nibble and a Bite?

Six children between the ages of 2 and 8 can tell you. That is …. if they are not too hungover.

Joe’s Crab Shack in Colorado Springs, CO is under investigation for serving alcohol to six young children having dinner at a family gathering.

The incident started when the children ordered Shark Nibbles – a soft drink on the kids’ menu which is described as “sweet & fruity with a bite & topped with a splash of grenadine.” Instead, the children were served Shark Bites – containing Bacardi Limon Rum, Skyy Vodka, blue curacao, and grenadine.

After the two year old finished her “drink” the waitress reclaimed the beverages and management revealed to the family that the drinks were alcoholic.

Paramedics were called, checked and released the children.

Joe’s executives said;

“We do not condone underage service of any kind.” “Our guests can rest assured our processes are continuously examined so incidents like this are avoided.”
