After almost a day since the news broke, President Obama issued a statement early Wednesday warning Islamic terrorists that “justice will be served” for the beheading of a second American journalist.

Speaking Estonia, Obama called the beheading of 31-year-old Steven Sotloff “barbarism.”
“Whatever these murderers think they will achieve by killing innocent Americans like Steven, they have already failed,” Obama said, according to the BBC.
“They have failed because, like people round the world, Americans are repulsed by their barbarism. We will not be intimidated. Their horrific acts only unite us as a country and stiffen our resolve.”
Sotloff’s savage beheading follows the Aug. 19 murder of fellow journalist James Foley at the hands of the group known as Islamic State, ISIS or ISIL.
Like Sotloff’s killing, the Foley murder was distributed in an Internet video, the barbarians were so proud of their work.
Obama’s statement followed a National Security Agency verification that the video was authentic, an NSA spokeswoman said.
On behalf of America, Obama vowed vengeance.
“Those who make the mistake of harming Americans will learn that we will not forget, that our reach is long and that justice will be served,” he said.
It was one of those rare times when even conservatives have to agree the president was right.
Let’s see how long it lasts this time.
