In a show of how quick things can be turned on its head in politics, a Democrat candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Georgia released her first TV ad and picked former President George H.W. Bush over the current occupant of the White House as someone she wanted to associate herself with.
Michelle Nunn, daughter of former U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn, highlighted her tenure as CEO of Bush’s Points of Light Foundation in an ad that makes no mention of President Barack Obama or the Democratic Party.

Driving home her point, Nunn even included a photo of her and Bush in the ad that describes her as being “optimistic about Georgia’s future.”
Georgia is a Republican friendly state, but it wasn’t that long ago that the Bush name would have been the kiss of death for a Democrat, yet another indication of how far Obama has fallen since that glorious night in November 2008.
