Get ready for mixed reviews on this Jimmy Fallon skit!
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took a call from Russian President “Vladimir Putin” on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday night.
Fallon, revising his role as Putin, wanted to chat about her 2008 prediction that he would invade Ukraine, asking the relaxed Palin for advice.
The awkward conversation that ensued included a flute solo and a lot of cheesy references to past “Palinisms,” like “mama grizzly.”
They also had a few laughs at Obama’s expense when the heavy breathing on the other line turned out to be the U.S. president listening in.
Palin pulled it off with finesse, able to laugh at herself, but I’m not gonna lie, it was a little awkward.
