Bloomberg picks on Dem mayoral candidate with bi-racial family

For sane America, watching libs claw one another’s eyes out in a Democratic primary in Al Sharpton’s New York is like watching women’s mud-wrestling – except it isn’t as classy.

In an interview published Saturday in New York magazine, Mayor Nanny Bloomberg – the outgoing “independent” – stepped into the ring to accuse the leading Democratic candidate for New York City mayor of running a “class-warfare and racist” campaign because he’s a white guy with a black wife who features his biracial family in his campaign ads.

Bloomberg then backed away from the “racist” part a little, but said New York Public Advocate Bill de Blasio plays up his wife’s race as a way of telling the city’s black voters whose side he’s really on. One de Blasio ad shows the candidate with his wife, Chirlane McCray, and two children, an 18-year-old daughter, Ciara, 15-year-old son, Dante.

“I mean he’s making an appeal using his family to gain support,” Bloomberg told New York magazine. “It’s comparable to me pointing out I’m Jewish in attracting the Jewish vote.”

How did de Blasio respond? He got a standing ovation at a rally of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Harlem while denying being a racist, according to the New York Post. (A racist at an Al Sharpton rally? Imagine that.)

De Blasio didn’t deny the class warfare part, though. And being at a Sharpton rally – all the Democratic candidates there are courting the black vote – tells you everything you need to know about whose side he’s really on.

De Blasio – like the Democrat in the White House – has built his whole campaign on vowing to make anyone who doesn’t already work for the government pay more money to the government so the government can decide who really deserves it.

And he’s loud and clear enough about it that in the lefty petri dish of a New York City Democratic primary, he actually stands out as the “class-warfare” candidate.

So naturally, he’s the frontrunner.

Nut-job Anthony Weiner’s periodic eruptions aside, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference among the Democrats running in the Big Apple – they all just want to take the dime.

And whoever wins will be coming to the White House with his hand out, and Al Sharpton at his back.
