President Donald Trump posted a video that exposes the reality of Los Angeles, California.

When one thinks of LA, they may think of the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, or perhaps Universal Studios Hollywood, where they might take their children to have a wonderful day surrounded by familiar characters. But Trump shared a video of the reality that hides in plain view, and it should embarrass California Governor Gavin Newsom.

“This is downtown Los Angeles, California,” the narrator says. “This is not a movie though; it’s not a joke, and it’s not a publicity stunt. This is the reality that people are living in.”

The video depicts a woman using a wrench to open up a fire hydrant so she can wash a blanket in a plastic tub. Meanwhile, in the background, a woman who is visibly lethargic and likely “trippin’ on something” can be seen fussing with items in the background.

Trump and Newsom have butted heads repeatedly over the president’s agenda, and many in the Democratic governor’s own state have accused him of spending more time positioning himself for a presidential run than caring for the people of California. One of the biggest problems that has yet to be addressed in any meaningful way is the homeless crisis that is taking over the streets. It’s unclear if Newsom will do something about it before the FIFA World Cup matches or the 2028 Summer Olympics that are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles.
