A super PAC produced an ad airing way out of district, but it appears to be targeting one man in particular.
The PAC is supporting Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s runoff against Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, but the ad is being run in the Mar-a-Lago area of Florida. Since there are no primary voters there who are going to be voting for or against either man in May, it appears that they are targeting an audience of one.

“John Cornyn helped Joe Biden install Merrick Garland as Attorney General, and Lisa Monaco as Deputy AG,” the video’s description reads. “Together, they orchestrated the spying and lawfare against President Trump. But Cornyn’s betrayal didn’t stop there. Cornyn supported Deranged Jack Smith’s criminal charges against Trump. Cornyn defended Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. And Cornyn praised FBI Director James Comey as a “good and decent man.” Cornyn betrayed President Trump, and he doesn’t deserve our trust.”
The ad comes after President Donald Trump declined to endorse either man before the primary, but said on Truth Social that the coveted endorsement would be coming “soon” as the pair heads into the runoff.
“The Republican Primary Race for the United States Senate in the Great State of Texas, a State I LOVE and won 3 times in Record Numbers (the HIGHEST vote ever recorded, by far!!!), cannot, for the good of the Party, and our Country, itself, be allowed to go on any longer. IT MUST STOP NOW! We have an easy to beat, Radical Left Opponent, and we have to TOTALLY FOCUS on putting him away, quickly and decisively! Both John and Ken ran great races, but not good enough. Now, this one, must be PERFECT! My Endorsements within the Republican Party have been virtually insurmountable! It is such an honor to realize and say that almost everyone I Endorse WINS, and wins by a lot, especially in Texas! I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE! Is that fair? We must win in November!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” the present said on March 4.
The ad appears to be an attempt to win him over to Paxton’s side by revealing all of the ways in which Cornyn was supposedly disloyal to the president. It remains to be seen whether this tactic will work, or if Trump will ignore it.
