The daughter of an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor shot during the Bondi Beach terror attack confronted Australian news hosts on their own network, demanding the broadcaster “cut out the biased reporting.”
Victoria Teplitsky appeared on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) News Breakfast after gunmen opened fire on a Hanukkah celebration, wounding her father, Semyon, in the lower leg. He survived after his girlfriend used her belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, the Daily Mail reported.
“ABC, I’ve got to say, will you cut out the biased reporting … will you cut it out? Will you let us have a voice?” Teplitsky told hosts James Glenday and Emma Rebellato.
She blamed coverage of Israel for fueling hostility toward Australian Jews.

“Because we feel that is part of the reason that the Jewish people have experienced such a massive change in Australia towards us,” she said.
“ABC, please stop with the biased reporting,” she said.
Rebellato did not address the accusation, instead offering sympathies before ending the interview.
Teplitsky told Channel 9 the Jewish community feels abandoned by its own government.
“We feel we’ve been let down by the Albanese-Wong government. This wasn’t a surprise. It wasn’t a surprise. It’s like, ‘Don’t we matter? Aren’t we Aussies?’” she said.
She dismissed political leaders who visited the attack site as insincere.
“Albanese will stand in front of the camera, they’ll do their spiel. The Greens will come here to pay their respects after wearing the keffiyehs in parliament,” Teplitsky said.
“So they may come here, and they may come here to look good on camera, but we don’t believe them,” she added.
Her father fled anti-Semitism in the Soviet Union decades ago and brought his family to Australia seeking safety.
