The FBI thwarted a bombing plot by a leftist group targeting multiple California locations and federal immigration agents, officials said Monday.
The so-called Turtle Island Liberation Front planned improvised explosive device (IED) attacks across Los Angeles for New Year’s Eve before the FBI arrested four members over the weekend, FBI Director Kash Patel said in an X post. Attorney General Pam Bondi described the group as “far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist” in another post, saying the suspects also targeted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and vehicles.
