Riley Gaines celebrates new Texas ‘bathroom bill’ based on ‘biological’ sex

If you had told someone 30 years ago that signage would be necessary to dictate that only biological women are allowed to use restrooms designated for females, you would have been called delusional, at best.

Yet, that is precisely what took place this week in Texas, as the Texas Women’s Privacy Act officially went into effect. Known as the “bathroom bill,” the legislation restricts who can use public restrooms and other private spaces in government-owned buildings.

Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines celebrated the new law on X, “No more men in women’s private spaces like locker rooms, bathrooms, domestic violence shelters, and prisons. Thank you, @GregAbbott_TX!!!

“The new law will create sex-based restrictions on restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and shower rooms in buildings owned and operated by both political subdivisions and state agencies,” KLTV reported. “Those include places like county and city buildings, agency buildings, public schools, open-enrollment charter schools, and public universities.”

“The restrictions prevent people to use a multi-person facility that does not match the persons assigned sex at birth,” the ABC affiliate continued. “The law does allow for single-person facilities, like a family bathroom, that anyone can use. The restrictions do not apply to privately-owned buildings, like restaurants or shopping centers, which can set their own policies.”

The reality behind the liberal dogma that defines transgender rights is the absolute disregard for the rights of actual women, who are largely erased amid the social contagion.

Gaines is a strong advocate for defending women’s single-sex spaces, advocating for equality and fairness, and standing up for women’s safety, privacy, and equal opportunities, as her online biography states. A 12-time All-American swimmer at the University of Kentucky, Gaines was very vocal about being forced to compete against UPenn’s Lia Thomas, a biological male swimmer.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
