Sydney Sweeney gets MAGA makeover and the Left is in blind rage

Sydney Sweeney’s hairstylist rushed to her defense this week after gay influencer Blakely Thornton attacked her unprovoked.

The attack from Thornton occurred after Sweeney appeared on “The Tonight Show” on Monday wearing an elegant red dress.

“I don’t want to keep talking about this white girl, but I’m very aware that at this point, her and her team of what I assume are white, Republican, self-hating gays are committed to the bit,” he said in an Instagram post.

“They’re doing this s–t on purpose. Why else would you go on a late-night talk show looking like Effie Trinket’s lost niece? The stiffest wig this side of the Mississippi unless you want to get read for filth,” he added.

According to People magazine, Sweeney’s hairstylist, Glen “Coco” Oropeza, fired back at Thornton shortly thereafter in the comments section of his Instagram post.

“Wasn’t a wig but you can’t get my girl’s name out of your mouth,” Oropeza wrote. “You’re obsessed.”

“Stiff where? You’re doing a lot … Take a breath, diva. You can keep trying to spin a narrative, but we all know you just need click bait cuz your content is TIRED. If you need attention, just say that. Imagine caring this much about a hairstyle you didn’t create and a woman who doesn’t know you exist. Goodnight,” he added.

Thornton then fired back with more trash-talking.

“I hope you get paid overtime for being a sycophant after 9pm PST,” he wrote. “If so I can sign your timesheet. And you’re right, Black people are tired … very much so … good luck on the rest of the press tour.”

Thornton has a history of bashing Sweeney over her fashion choices and also over her ties to billionaires like Jeff Bezos.

“In September, Thornton criticized Sweeney’s star-studded birthday party and its guests (which included Bezos and his wife, Lauren), claiming the bash ‘looked like the third circle of hell,’” People notes.

The left-wing media have also taken to attacking Sweeney over the red dress she wore on “The Tonight Show.”

“Sydney Sweeney’s ‘Mar-A-Lago’ Republican-Style Makeover Is Going Viral,” the headline of a hit piece from BuzzFeed reads.

“Is there such a thing as a Republican look?” the actual report reads. “Well, Sydney Sweeney’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon sure is going viral.”

The report notes how Sweeney was outed as a registered Republican after the American Eagle “good jeans” ad controversy over the summer.

On social media, everyday leftists have also taken to mocking her look on “The Tonight Show”:

Despite all the needless criticism, Sweeney has an army of supporters that includes fellow actor Ben Foster, who co-stars with her in the film “Christy.”

“Sydney is her own force,” he told The Independent. “She came in extremely prepared, knew the crew’s names, and was always ready to work. I’d be knackered at the end of the day, and she’d go train for another three hours to fight the next morning … She’s a powerhouse.”

Some of her other past controversies include the time she wore a “Blue Lives Matter” shirt and the time she took a 2022 family birthday photo featuring a “Make Sixty Great Again” hat.

Foster stressed that she handles the criticism she receives with top-notch poise.

“She’s in a zeitgeist worldview that is… unique,” he said. “And I think she’s handling it incredibly well. She’s a powerhouse. I’m not on any social media at all… But she plays in that field. It’s so important to this generation, to the future. I find her incredibly impressive.”
