Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones reportedly furious at son’s CNN takedown: ‘never been spoken to like that in his entire life’

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are reportedly upset that their son received a rather public reality check on CNN.

Dylan Douglas fancies himself a political talking head, and his uber-famous parents have supported his foray into punditry, where he spews his leftist ideals to all who will listen. While his opinions might be standard fare, celebrated by the Democrats who infest Hollywood and other rich, elitist circles, Scott Jennings was not having it. A round table discussion resulted in an intellectual sparring match between the two, which left Douglas sputtering and stuttering about halfway through.

For a refresher:

Yeah, that was pretty embarrassing, even by nepo-baby standards, and his parents are reportedly “furious” about it.

According to Yahoo!, Douglas and Zeta-Jones want to “blacklist the whole network” in the future.

“On Zeta-Jones’ part, she has reportedly been ranting to her friends about how the interview was ‘unfair and exploitative,’ seemingly referring to how her son was left stunned and stuttering at some of the questions he was asked,” the outlet reported, citing Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop.

“Meanwhile, Douglas shares the same opinion and has told his close circle that the outlet ‘crossed a line.’ Part of the reason the couple is so angered by the entire situation appears to be that they knew their son wasn’t prepared for such a heated debate,” the article continued.

One source revealed that the young man has been treated with kid gloves during his life, leaving him unprepared for how the real world will treat him.

“Dylan’s never been spoken to like that in his entire life. He’s always been the golden boy — adored, protected. CNN gave him a taste of the real world, and his parents hated every second of it,” the source said.

Jennings responded to the story on X:

“The public’s out there throwing darts at boards, Sport. I don’t throw darts at a board. I bet on sure things. Read Sun-tzu, ‘The Art of War.’ Every battle is won—before it’s ever fought,” he wrote.
