White House unveils ‘Media Bias’ website to hold ‘Fake News’ accountable

President Donald Trump’s White House has unveiled a website designed to “hold fake news accountable.”

Visitors to the WhiteHouse.gov site may have noticed a new addition that exposes media bias, naming and shaming “media offenders” with an “Offenders Hall of Shame.” Here, users can find out the truth behind claims made by mainstream media outlets that have demonstrated a bias against the Trump administration.

“The Trump White House is holding the Fake News accountable like never before,” she wrote.

Kaelan Dorr, deputy assistant to the president and White House deputy communications director, advised that the site can be used by those having political disagreements with family members over the holidays, perhaps setting mainstream media-watching relatives straight on the lies and misinformation they have been fed.

“For those of you still arguing with family over the holidays,” he posted. “We rolled out WH.gov/mediabias today for you. But most importantly to hold the media accountable. Misleading? Biased? Prepare to be EXPOSED.”

“The development comes as a record chunk of the public now reports they have little confidence in the press, with a Gallup poll last month indicating just 28% have a ‘great deal’ or ‘fair amount’ of trust in newspapers, television, and radio to report the news accurately and fairly,” the Washington Examiner reported.

“In May, a Rasmussen Reports survey found that 49% of the public believes news bias is getting worse, while, by a margin of 44% to 29%, likely voters agree with the statement: ‘No matter how much you hate the media, it’s not enough,’” the article continued.
