President Donald Trump announced on social media that the airspace over Venezuela is “closed in its entirety.”
The post, made early Saturday morning, is the latest escalation in the Trump administration’s war on drug trafficking from the nation. It also comes amid an increase in strikes on reported “narco-terrorist” boats in the Caribbean, which is receiving much scrutiny from anti-interventionists and Trump critics.
Look:
“To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote in the post.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth defended the actions from detractors, including The Washington Post, which published a report being dubbed “fake news.”
According to the WaPo, Hegseth gave a verbal order to “kill everybody.” The sources claimed that after the second strike, there were bodies “blown apart in the water.” The story was quickly picked up and amplified by other media outlets as the latest hoax narrative took shape.
In a Friday post to X, Hegseth rejected the report as “fake news” and made the case for the decisive action taken by the current administration to eliminate the narcoterrorist threat in the Caribbean compared to the Biden regime.
“As usual, the fake news is delivering more fabricated, inflammatory, and derogatory reporting to discredit our incredible warriors fighting to protect the homeland,” Hegseth wrote.
“As we’ve said from the beginning, and in every statement, these highly effective strikes are specifically intended to be ‘lethal, kinetic strikes.’ The declared intent is to stop lethal drugs, destroy narco-boats, and kill the narco-terrorists who are poisoning the American people,” Hegseth’s public correction continued. “Every trafficker we kill is affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization.”
“The Biden administration preferred the kid gloves approach, allowing millions of people — including dangerous cartels and unvetted Afghans — to flood our communities with drugs and violence,” he noted. “The Trump administration has sealed the border and gone on offense against narco-terrorists. Biden coddled terrorists, we kill them.”
