The left has totally succumbed to Trump Derangement Syndrome, so much so that it’s difficult to look at them as serious players in the political arena as they ramble on with one inane analogy after another.

In their relentless crusade to vilify President Donald Trump, Democrats have staked everything on the puerile “Orange Man Bad” trope, frantically striving to foment discord and drive political turmoil, in the vain hope of reaping electoral advantage from the ensuing chaos.

One such example of this strategy is Trump’s efforts to build a sorely needed White House ballroom. But few have gone down the rabbit hole as deep as CNN contributor Tiffany Cross, who dared to say, “This sounds to me like someone is building a structure that he does not plan on leaving, and that’s something we need to start taking very seriously.”

Last night on national television, I was reliably told that the President’s renovation of a ballroom is actually part of his plan to remain in the White House after his term.

The comment’s absurdity is evident, yet the other liberal panelists refrain from objecting, fearing backlash from the intolerant elements within their own ideological camp. United in their animosity toward Trump and finding common cause with Cross, they nod in agreement, thereby presenting themselves as equally ill-informed.

Of course, to get a better feel for who Cross is, she cohosts the “Native Land Pod,” which boasts: “In the spirit of the last stanza of the Black National Anthem, we rise from the past, rooted deeply in the soil of ancestral struggles, to build a home, to claim our space.”

The real irony here may be that Democrats tend to support squatters’ rights, yet they take exception to the idea of Trump squatting in the White House.

I hear this all the time, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. This isn’t the first time there were renovations and it won’t be the last. The upside here is that it isn’t costing the taxpayer anything since this is all from donors.
