President Donald Trump will attend the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland in 2026, according to people familiar with the plans that spoke to Bloomberg.
Trump will travel with a large entourage to the forum, known for hosting panels featuring international elite policy priorities such as combating “disinformation” and climate change, Bloomberg reported. Trump attended the meeting during his first term in the Oval Office and virtually addressed attendees at WEF’s 2025 gathering just a few days after his inauguration, where he unapologetically advocated for his policies.
“The World Economic Forum has invited the heads of government and state of the G-20 and other countries to the Annual Meeting 2026,” WEF said in a statement to Bloomberg. “This includes President Trump. The exact list of confirmed participants will be published one week before the start of the Annual Meeting.”
Trump told WEF attendees in January that the United States would be a sovereign nation with secure borders and that he “terminated the ridiculous and incredibly wasteful Green New Deal – I call it the Green New scam.”
Trump added that he “withdrew from the one-sided Paris Climate Accord and ended the insane and costly electric vehicle mandate. We’re going to let people buy the car they want to buy.”
Notably, WEF has investigated its founder Klaus Schwab in recent months over whistleblower’s concerns before reportedly uncovering alleged financial and ethical misconduct in July.
