Russia unveiled its first humanoid robot this week, and it’s safe to say that technicians are currently back to the drawing boards.

The AI-driven robot, called Aldol, took the stage in Moscow to the theme song “Gonna Fly Now” from the movie “Rocky,” but the moment was short-lived because Aldol face planted after just a few steps.

Aldol was unsteady on its feet and began wobbling right away, as if too much vodka had been consumed in celebration of the moment. After raising its right arm in what was meant to be a friendly wave, Aldol staggered and fell face-first as handlers scrambled to rescue the humanoid from pending disaster.

“The Russian robot could barely walk and wave its hand,” Tech Radar’s Lance Ulanoff told Fox Business. “This made Russia look like it’s very far behind, not only in the robot race but in the generative AI one, as well.”

“The U.S. boasts robots like Tesla Optimus, Figure 03, and Atlas from Boston Dynamics, and these are machines that walk, dance, flip, and handle chores,” he said, before adding, “Robot development is advancing quickly now, precisely because generative AI is helping train these robots for the unforeseen, but this Russian robot looked like it had zero training.”

Oddly, there was more than one reference to Joe Biden in the online responses:
