Leftists’ reaction to Dems’ finally allowing government to open causes total Bluesky meltdown

Obstructionist leftists are on suicide watch after eight Democrats finally decided to help Republicans reopen the government.

While it’s incredibly suspicious that this kind of cooperation only came after an election where Democrats swept important seats in Virginia, New York City and New Jersey, it’s also a sign for millions of Americans that relief may finally be on the horizon. Not all Democrats are cool with this, however, and made their opinions heard on social media.

California Governor Gavin Newsom simply said the act was “pathetic.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, claimed that people want obstructionist Democrats to “hold the line” despite vulnerable people not receiving their SNAP benefits.

“The average monthly SNAP benefit is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit is up to $550 a person/mo. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. Working people want leaders whose word means something,” she said.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Connecticut, said it is “angry” about the vote, which would help millions of voters be able to return to public sector jobs, engage in air travel without delays, have their benefits paid out on time, etc.

And that’s just those on X. Over on BlueSky, the reaction was even more unhinged.

“Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies,” Kevin Kruse wrote. “And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means. Every time the Dems step in, it  only emboldens the GOP and they make it even worse the next time.”

“Every single Democratic senator that votes to cave on this should be immediately ejected from the party, and the national party should immediately start running primary candidates in their districts,” Chris Kluwe whined. “There is no bipartisanship possible with traitors and fascists. You either fight, or die.”

“Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous,” Kat Tenbarge raged.
