Assimilate vs accommodate

QUESTION: How do you destroy a country? ANSWER: By diluting the voting population to elect people who have little respect for the country, its culture, and its history.  This is the state of affairs that exists in America today (as well as in several Western European countries)  as a result of the election of individuals who have an allegiance to other countries, but who make decisions that impact the lives of Americans.

According to a PEW Research study, immigrants and children of immigrants make up 15% of the 119th United States Congress.  The majority of them are democrats and include the likes of Pramila Jayapal, Mazie Hirono, Ilhan Omar, and Shri Thanedar, who are immigrants.  These are individuals who have been outspoken critics of policies on crime, defenders of illegal immigration, and have been allies of individuals who have burned the United States flag while shouting “Death to America”  in their support of terrorist organizations, such as Hamas.

In New York’s (a city with more than 275 mosques) mayoral race, Zohran Mamdani is the frontrunner and has strong support from white liberals who attempt to alleviate their white guilt by voting for a guy who advocated taxing white people.   Combine this with a huge Muslim population, and he is likely to become the mayor of New York.

In a 2013 interview that aired recently, Mamdani’s mother claimed that her son wasn’t an American!  Her exact quote was, “He is very much us. He is not an American at all,” said his mother, Nair. “He was born in Uganda, raised between India and America. He is at home in many places. He thinks of himself as a Ugandan and as an Indian.”

If Zohran Mamdani thinks of himself as a Ugandan or as an Indian, then how could he possibly represent the interests of Americans?  The same criticism can be said of people like Ilhan Omar, who said that “the US was one of the worst countries,” and she has been very critical of Chuck Schumer for not endorsing Mamdani.

Earlier this year, the House of Representatives voted to censure Rashida Talib, the first Palestinian member to serve in Congress.  House Resolution 674 censured Talib “for promoting and cheering on terrorism and antisemitism at the People’s Conference for Palestine.” Sadly, censures carry no real consequences, so Talib will continue to serve in Congress.

Many of the elected officials who appear to have issues with the American way of life are Muslims who have been allowed to show up in cities throughout America, en masse,  and instead of assimilating into American culture, they arrogantly demanded to be accommodated by cities where they landed or had enough people enter these cities and vote other Muslims on to city councils or elect them as mayors.  The reason why Ilhan Omar can get elected, despite her anti-American rhetoric, is that Muslims have flocked to her voting district and put her in office because of her strong ties to Somalia.  Minneapolis is home to the largest Somali population in America.

This is not an isolated problem for Americans.  In Europe, how many European nations are faced with crime sprees of rape gangs and knife-wielding immigrants who are murdering their citizens?  Recently, in England, an Afghan refugee attacked and murdered a British citizen who was walking his dog, which sparked protests of British citizens who have had enough of the violence perpetrated by immigrants there.

Unlike Jews, Christians, and people of other religions, Islam has a huge radical base that rivals the Spanish Inquisition in terms of its intolerance for those labeled as “infidels” (anyone who isn’t Muslim), ideas, and their staunch allegiance to Sharia law, which is the antithesis of the freedoms Americans enjoy because of our Constitution. How many Palestinian flags were raised proudly, while American flags were simultaneously burned during protests over what was happening in Gaza?

According to the U.S. census of 2020, there are 4.5 million Muslims living in America, which is relatively a small percentage of the population, however, it has been reported that Muslims have mobilized politically and have taken over Hamtramck, Michigan (a city once dominated by Polish politicians) and it is the first town to have a Muslim mayor and a city council made up of Muslims.

In Minneapolis, the city council voted to make an exception to a noise ordinance so that the Muslim call to prayer at all hours, known as the “adhan,” to be heard over speakers five times a day, year-round. In Paterson, New Jersey, elected Muslim leaders declared it the capital of Palestine in America and had an event sponsored by a group where one of their imams called Christians idolaters and spoke about Muslims overtaking disbelievers.

When the culture of any group becomes dominant enough to override the existing native population and usurp power to change that culture, something must be done.  Naturalized citizens should never be at the mercy of those who enter a country and make demands because it is the equivalent of an invited guest taking over a home and ignoring the rules of the person who owns the house.

As the West struggles to deal with individuals who attempt to make their lands look like the same lands that these people escaped from, other nations are refusing to accommodate immigrants who seek to enter their countries and employ radical ideas.  Poland refuses to accept Muslim refugees and has been adamant that Sharia law will never happen there.  Slovakia has a population of approximately 2,000 Muslims, but its Prime Minister, Robert Fico, stated, “Islam has no place here.”  In Hungary, Muslim immigration is strongly opposed by the government.  China, with a population of 20 million Muslims, has made it abundantly clear that no group can come into its country and attempt to force its culture down the throats of Chinese citizens.

Tolerance and religious freedom are important aspects of any democratic country; however, when tolerance involves giving in to the demands of individuals who are intolerant of the laws of a country, a line must be drawn.  The Bible says that one cannot have two masters.  A government cannot have politicians who have an allegiance to a foreign nation or an ideology that is anti-American and still serve America.

Historically, one of the greatest strengths of democracy is also something that makes democracies vulnerable to their own destruction: the fact that small groups can gain extreme popularity, gain political power, and use that power to strike down the very freedoms that gave them a platform to attain power.  There is no greater evidence than the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany under the democratic Weimar Republic. To draw a line in the sand and say, “You can come here legally, but we will not allow you to impose your way of life on our citizens or in our cities, and any attempt to do so cancels your invitation to remain here” is neither Islamophobic nor is it intolerant; it is necessary to preserve the American way of life.
