Schumer, Dems want answers about strikes on drug boats

When Democrats aren’t voting to keep the American federal government closed, they’re demanding answers about President Donald Trump’s drug boat strikes.

Ironically, the people who don’t care enough about the citizens of the United States to compromise on funding the federal government are working diligently to get answers on the strikes targeting reported “narco-trafficking” drug boats. On Friday, a letter signed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and other senior Democrats accused the Trump administration of “selectively releasing conflicting information to certain lawmakers while leaving others in the dark,” according to Fox News.

“We also request that you provide all legal opinions related to these strikes and a list of the groups or other entities the President has deemed targetable,” the letter reads.

This didn’t seem to slow down the administration’s operations at all, as Sunday Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced another successful strike in the Caribbean.

Look:

“Today, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on another narco-trafficking vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) in the Caribbean,” Hegseth wrote, sharing video of the strike on X. “This vessel—like EVERY OTHER—was known by our intelligence to be involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, was transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics. Three male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessel during the strike, which was conducted in international waters. All three terrorists were killed, and no U.S. forces were harmed in this strike. These narco-terrorists are bringing drugs to our shores to poison Americans at home—and they will not succeed. The Department will treat them EXACTLY how we treated Al-Qaeda. We will continue to track them, map them, hunt them, and kill them.”

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson visited Fox News Sunday to talk about the shutdown and the drug boat strikes, and he assured viewers that these strikes aren’t being carried out at random.

Watch:

“We have exquisite intelligence about these strikes, and I can’t get into classified parts,” the speaker said.

“Narco terrorists will be treated like al Qaeda,” he said, echoing the sentiments shared by Hegseth.
