Arctic Frost accountability starts with impeaching Judge Boasberg

Newly disclosed facts surrounding the Biden Administration’s tyrannical weaponization of the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation have once again reached a fever pitch, and it’s time for Congress to take decisive action.

The startling revelations that radical left-wing U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg signed an order instructing a telecommunications company to refrain from disclosing to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas that his cellphone records were being subpoenaed by former President Joe Biden’s Special Counsel Jack Smith are still reverberating around our nation’s capital. Perhaps even more troubling is Judge Boasberg’s rationale for the order in which he suggested – without evidence – that such a disclosure would cause felonies to be committed by a sitting U.S. senator and put Smith’s overtly political investigation at risk.

Watching a federal judge flagrantly ignore the U.S. Constitution to advance an unprecedented dragnet by an out-of-control Executive Branch under the leadership of Biden, former Attorney General Merrick Garland, and former FBI Director Christopher Wray against a United States senator lays bare who the true threats to our democracy are in this ongoing national nightmare. Judge Boasberg must be impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives without delay.

House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan can invoke the Pelosi Impeachment Doctrine and vote to impeach Boasberg for this blatant abuse of power in short order, just as House Democrats did to President Trump in January 2021. The only difference is that, unlike Trump’s fake impeachment, in this case, there’s ample evidence to support this unhinged Obama appointee’s speedy removal from his lifelong perch on the federal bench.

Earlier this year, I became an early supporter of Boasberg’s impeachment due to his abusive, hyper-partisan injunctions attempting to thwart President Trump’s America First agenda. Millions of Americans were flabbergasted when Boasberg blocked the Trump Administration from deporting gang members and terrorists from the United States before it was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. But now, in the case of Ted Cruz, Boasberg has violated his oath of office, the Constitution, and the separation of powers doctrine to aid and abet the weaponization of our sacred system of justice in order to destroy Trump-supporting conservatives.

As it turns out, Cruz, along with at least 10 other members of the Senate and House, weren’t the only ones being targeted by Special Counsel Smith and the Biden DOJ – not by a long shot. In fact, I recently discovered – thanks to brave whistleblowers, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, and Chairman Jordan – that 26 months’ worth of my organization’s bank records were also subpoenaed. The recently released documents say I was targeted simply because I was President Trump’s “2016 Deputy Campaign Manager (advocated recounts in 2020).” It should come as a surprise to no one that, as president of Citizens United, I felt strongly in the wake of the 2020 presidential election about exercising my First Amendment rights to advocate in favor of recounts in hotly contested battleground states where I suspected foul play at the ballot box.

Not only was Citizens United subpoenaed (we weren’t informed of the request by our bank either), but we now know that 197 subpoenas were issued targeting Trump’s allies and Joe Biden’s adversaries, totaling a mind-blowing “430 named Republican individuals and entities,” including Turning Point USA and Conservative Partnership Institute, according to Grassley and his dogged committee investigators. This is not just some Nixonian-type political enemies list; this is the work of a dictatorship in the making seeking to snuff out any and all threats to their absolute power.

According to the newly unearthed documents, my organization’s bank records were subpoenaed on Nov. 16, 2022 – one day after Trump announced his 2024 campaign for president. Another recently disclosed memo from then-FBI Director Wray indicates that Garland and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco personally green lit the Arctic Frost investigation on April 5, 2022 – the same exact day I premiered Citizens United’s critically acclaimed documentary film about the fraudulent 2020 election entitled “Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot To Defeat Donald Trump” before a packed ballroom at Mar-a-Lago with President Trump in attendance.

It’s never been more obvious to every American who leans into common sense that Arctic Frost was conceived, launched, and ramped up when it became clear that Donald Trump would seek the White House in 2024. The investigation was meant to have a chilling effect on scores of Trump’s allies and closest supporters to coincide with all the political investigations that were targeting Trump himself. This absurd level of weaponization and politicization of the Department of Justice and the FBI is breathtaking and should scare the living daylights out of every American.

The unfolding Arctic Frost scandal makes Watergate look like a jaywalking citation by comparison. This is precisely the kind of dangerous behavior that constitutional scholars have warned could damage our beloved Republic beyond repair. This matter must be fully investigated so it never happens again, and transparency is always the best disinfectant. Let’s start by holding rogue Judge Boasberg accountable with his swift impeachment to protect our democracy.
