Top Trump officials move to military bases over growing safety concerns

A growing number of top officials in the Trump administration are opting to relocate to housing on U.S. military bases out of heightened safety concerns.

With credible threats growing amid a broader wave of political violence, The Atlantic reported that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, War Department Secretary Pete Hegseth, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller are among those who live in military housing in the DC area.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reportedly sought housing at Fort McNair but was unable to secure arrangements due to shortages.

The Atlantic reported that Miller’s wife, the mother of three small children, was confronted at her front door by a woman the day after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, with the deranged stranger reportedly telling Katie Miller, “I’m watching you.”

Being a left-wing rag, the outlet not only blamed the uptick in political violence on President Donald Trump, but also claimed that the officials forced to relocate were taking housing away from military leadership.

“It is an ominous marker of the nation’s polarization, to which the Trump administration has itself contributed, that some of those top public servants have felt a need to separate themselves from the public. These civilian officials can now depend on the U.S. military to augment their personal security. But so many have made the move that they are now straining the availability of housing for the nation’s top uniformed officers,” The Atlantic reported.

One thing is certain, as seen below,  leftwing violence is getting out of control — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
