‘He’s f-ing me’: Trump reportedly furious with Netanyahu over Qatar strikes

Daily Caller News Foundation

President Donald Trump is “frustrated” and angry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his decision to strike Hamas officials in Doha, Qatar, according to officials cited in a Wall Street Journal report Thursday.

‘He’s f—ing me,” Trump reportedly said about Netanyahu after Israel failed to kill Hamas leaders in the Qatar strikes, according to officials who overheard the remark and spoke to the WSJ. Trump repeatedly told aides in recent weeks he believes Netanyahu prefers military force to diplomacy when dealing with Hamas.

Efforts to broker peace and a deal to return the remaining hostages in Gaza have so far fallen flat, and Israel has responded by continuing its advance into the Strip.

Trump reportedly held two phone calls with Netanyahu in the wake of the strikes , the first call expressing his displeasure with his actions and the second focused on its actual outcome. However, the strikes only killed five Hamas members and one Qatari security officer, failing to neutralize any of the terrorist organization’s top leaders, according to Axios.

There have been conflicting accounts as to when Trump was notified about the strikes on Qatar before they happened, with Israeli officials insisting that they gave the president short notice on the event. Trump has not recently made major moves to curtail Israel’s military action while Hamas has punted on multiple attempted peace deals.

Israeli forces have begun moving into Gaza City and urging residents to evacuate immediately. Aid groups have warned that evacuating Gaza City’s nearly one million residents could worsen the ongoing humanitarian situation.

The MAGA coalition’s support of Israel has started to waver, by Trump’s own admission, due to the long, drawn-out nature of the war in Gaza and increased scrutiny on Israel’s actions in the region.
