‘Absolutely support the killing of Hamas’: Fetterman supports Israel’s attack

Daily Caller News Foundation

Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman said on Newsmax Tuesday he “absolutely” supports the targeted killings of Hamas operatives around the world.

Israel bombed Hamas leadership in Doha on Tuesday in what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called a fully independent Israeli operation. In an interview with “The Record with Greta Van Susteren,” Fetterman offered support for Israel’s campaign against Hamas and backed targeted killings of the group’s operatives.

“I absolutely support the killing of Hamas anywhere, wherever. It’s a way for Israel to remind the world that they can find them everywhere they are. And I absolutely celebrate that,” Fetterman said.

Fetterman said that Hamas and Hezbollah operatives should be hunted down wherever they are.

“Kill them whether they were in Iran, or whether it’s in Gaza, or just yesterday in Qatar. They are all fully accountable, and I absolutely support that, the same for Hezbollah,” Fetterman said.

Fetterman said he may have been the only Democrat to support Israeli strikes inside Iran earlier this year.

“And I think I was the only Democrat that supported the Iranian nuclear strikes as well, too. I mean, it’s like entirely appropriate, and that’s why I support that, because I am unapologetically a supporter for Israel and the Democratic Party, and I’ll just call it straight,” Fetterman said.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency launched a precision strike targeting top Hamas leaders, who they say helped orchestrate the Oct. 7 massacre and continue to direct the war against Israel. While the identities of those killed remain unconfirmed, Israeli officials have vowed to eliminate Khalil al-Hayya, Hamas’ chief negotiator, who is frequently based in Qatar.

Israeli forces ordered all residents to evacuate Gaza City on Tuesday ahead of a planned military takeover. The IDF warned that staying in the city would be “extremely dangerous” and dropped leaflets instructing civilians to flee west and then south.

Democrats have increasingly rallied against Israel in recent months, including Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who accused the U.S. and Israel of genocide during a speech at a pro-Palestinian conference. During her tirade, far-left Tlaib said Israel and the U.S. are starving children in Gaza and using military force to “kill, torture, and kidnap” people across the globe.
