Vice President J.D. Vance fired back at Democrats over their questioning of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Thursday, accusing them of hypocrisy.
Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee attacked Kennedy during a Thursday hearing, with several demanding he resign or be fired. Vance noted many of the Democrats attacking Kennedy supported child sex changes.
“When I see all these senators trying to lecture and ‘gotcha’ Bobby Kennedy today, all I can think is: You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal ‘therapies’ for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. You’re full of shit and everyone knows it,” Vance posted on X Thursday.

DCNF investigative reporter Megan Brock obtained footage from World Professional Association of Transgender Health’s (WPATH) September 2022 Global Education Institute (GEI) and over 100 pages of documents, which included some members of the group questioning the organization’s “Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8” (SOC 8).
The videos included some of the instructors urging doctors to disregard a standard of care requiring that mental health issues be addressed before the start of any sex-change procedures, even for patients suffering from schizophrenia. Other videos discussed the grisly potential complications from some of the surgical procedures.
One doctor involved in child sex change procedures admitted in October 2024 that she suppressed a study that questioned the effectiveness of the procedures, saying she feared the results would be used to support restrictions on the procedures.
The Supreme Court upheld SB1, legislation passed by the Tennessee Legislature in March 2023 that placed restrictions on child sex changes, in a 6-3 ruling released on June 18.
Kennedy had multiple contentious exchanges during Thursday’s hearing, at one point accusing Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts of taking major contributions from pharmaceutical companies.
“I never promised that I was going to recommend products with which there is no indication,” Kennedy told Warren. “And I know you’ve taken $855,000 from pharmaceutical companies, senator.”
Kennedy also said Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire was “making stuff up” when they clashed over regulations involving COVID-19 vaccinations for children and clashed with Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon over chronic illnesses among children.
