Unfazed D.C. carjacking suspect boasts about being released SIX times

Lost in the mix in all the focus on reducing crime is that once arrested, alleged criminals must be prosecuted.

With a small army of George Soros-backed, soft-on-crime Democratic prosecutors across the country, this is no given. In fact, in many cases, charges are downgraded or dropped altogether. Either way, suspects are often back on the street in the blink of an eye, thanks in large part to Democrats’ no cash bail staple.

And criminals know this all too well, having been through the revolving door multiple times, as seen with an armed carjacking suspect, who told Fox News that he’s been in and out of D.C. jail “six times.”

“They release me. It’s the same thing every f*cking time,” the young man said, questioning why law enforcement even bothers to arrest him.

Crime statistics are so manipulated in Democrat-run cities that it’s hard to get a full view of the problem. Add to the mix undersized police departments, and it’s safe to argue that the alleged “drop in crime” that many Democrats point to is because criminals are not being arrested — and when they are, they are not always prosecuted.

Adding to the problem are liberal judges who don’t hold criminals to account when they are prosecuted. As for accountability, some would like to see that applied all the way around.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
