Tom Homan currently having ‘biggest concern I’ve ever had’ about border threat

Border czar Tom Homan said Tuesday on Fox News’ “Hannity” that he’s having the “biggest concern” he’s “ever had” about the consequences of the Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis.

Following the U.S. strike against three Iranian nuclear weapons program sites on Saturday, concerns of potential retaliation on U.S. soil began circulating. While discussing the border crisis and how it could impact Americans’ safety amid foreign threats, Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked Homan how “scared” Americans would be if they knew what he knows.

“If the average American, if everyone watching the show tonight knew what you knew, and [DHS Secretary] Kristi Noem knew, and [FBI Director] Kash Patel, and [FBI Deputy Director] Dan Bongino and [Attorney General] Pam Bondi knew, how scared would they be?” Hannity asked.

“I’ve been doing this for 40 years. This is the biggest concern I’ve ever had,” Homan responded. “You know, we had fentanyl that killed a quarter million Americans. We had sex trafficking up 600%. We got people on the terrorist watch list being arrested at the border. I said from day one, two million plus gotaways.”

During former President Joe Biden’s time in office, Republicans consistently warned about the surge of illegal migrants crossing the U.S. border. Over his four-year term, millions of illegal migrants were allowed into the country, with an estimated 1.9 million “gotaways” recorded by June 2024.

In October 2024, a House Judiciary Committee report found that more than 1.7 million migrants encountered at the southern border had been flagged as “potential national security threats.” Of the estimated eight million illegal migrants who entered the U.S. since January 2021, at least 382 were found to be on the U.S. terrorist watchlist.

“This scares the hell out of me. If you don’t think a single one of them didn’t come here to do us harm, then you’re a moron,” Homan added. “This is the biggest issue I’ve seen in my 40-year career, and it scares the hell out of me. It should scare the hell out of every American, but thank God we got President Trump sitting in the White House because he’s going to take this on 100%.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security, officials arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants over the weekend, including one who had reportedly served as an Iranian Army sniper and was allegedly carrying an Islamic Republic of Iran Army identification card.

Since President Donald Trump began pushing his border agenda, daily border encounters fell by 93% within his first 100 days in office, with migrant crossings down by 99.99%, according to the White House.
