‘Huge lawsuit’: Tish James ‘gestapo’ handcuffs, detains Manhattan woman over minor fender-bender

New York Attorney General Letitia James is quick to accuse President Donald J. Trump of being a bully, but if she wants to stand up to bullying, as James claims, she may need to look no further than her own office.

An investigator assigned to James’ security detail handcuffed a young female driver over what looks to be a minor fender-bender in Manhattan, according to the New York Post.

The woman, who allegedly was driving without a license, appeared to make contact with a black Ford Expedition, driven by Nelson Yu, a retired NYPD detective who now works for James, the newspaper reported.

Yu “appeared irate” and can be seen in the video below putting cuffs on the unidentified woman after demanding that she get out of the vehicle.

The Post said the woman’s arrest was “voided” when calmer heads prevailed.

The Expedition was reportedly being used as part of James’ security detail for the day.

“On Wednesday evening, a civilian vehicle struck a parked car belonging to the Attorney General’s security detail,” a spokesperson for James’ office said in a statement. “OAG is investigating this matter internally and will not have further comment at this time.”
