Democratic strategist Julian Epstein slammed the American left and mainstream media on Fox Business Monday for enabling extremism and refusing to confront terrorism when it targets Jews.
CNN analyst Juliette Kayyem sparked backlash Sunday after rebuking FBI leaders who classified the Colorado firebombing as terrorism. She accused them of jumping ahead of local authorities and making the bureau look “juvenile.” During an appearance on “The Evening Edit,” Epstein blasted the Democrats and said the incident should have been a “wake-up call in the West.”
“You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to know that when a terrorist says ‘Free Palestine’ and sets a bunch of Jews on fire, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, you don’t have to be a Sherlock Holmes to know that’s terrorism,” Epstein told host Elizabeth MacDonald.
Epstein didn’t hold back. He criticized the left for what he called a dangerous pattern of excusing or ignoring acts of violence when they align with certain ideological narratives.
“This is part of the larger malaise, Liz. This is part of the fact that the left is coddling extremism, and the media is mostly turning a blind eye to what’s going on. This should be a wake-up call in the West,” Epstein added.
The Department of Homeland Security told the Daily Caller News Foundation that Mohamed Sabry Soliman — a 45-year-old foreign national who entered the U.S. under the Biden administration and overstayed his visa — is accused of attacking a pro-Israel demonstration with a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails.
The Boulder attack took place less than two weeks after a gunman fatally shot two Israeli embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., reportedly shouting “Free Palestine” as officers took him into custody.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas erupted on Oct. 7, 2023, when the terror group launched a surprise assault on southern Israel, killing around 1,200 civilians and taking approximately 250 hostages. In response, Israeli forces launched a major military campaign in Gaza, dismantling much of Hamas’ infrastructure.
