“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said Monday that former President Joe Biden would have immediately been transparent about his advanced prostate cancer if he were still president.
Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has metastasized to the bone as of Friday, his personal office announced Sunday. Goldberg adamantly said that Biden would never hide his serious medical condition from the public, though medical professionals have said that he most definitely had prostate cancer while president.
“I want to point out to people that had this been the case while he was president, there’s no way that you wouldn’t have known,” Goldberg said. “Because he would’ve had to have these treatments. So this is not something that he was carrying around and that he was hiding. And as Ana said, we know about his struggles. We know about his struggles, and now we know about this one, and I again want to commend the people who cut their tongues off and said, ‘Get well soon.’”

Oncologists and medical professionals stated that the advanced stages of the illness indicate that Biden has had prostate cancer for several years. Ezekiel Emanuel, a longtime oncologist, told “Morning Joe” during a Monday segment that Biden has certainly had prostate cancer for many years and possibly up to a decade.
Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel said Sunday that he was “taken aback” by the “very advanced” state of Biden’s condition, pointing out that the former president underwent routine checkups and received the best medical care in the world. As concerns about Biden’s physical and mental health circulated, the White House stated that they had been completely “transparent” to the public about his health.
Former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly told reporters that Biden was in “good health” and assured that they were truthful with the public about his health and well-being. New details have emerged about the White House’s cover-up of Biden’s declining health in the soon-to-be-released book, “Original Sin,” by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson, which details how aides made excuses for the then-president’s halting walk and took strides to avoid putting him in a wheelchair.
Biden’s aides attributed his halting walk to a fracture he suffered in his foot in November 2020, though his personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said that the fractures had completely healed, according to Axios, citing Tapper and Thompson’s book. After Biden had tripped on a sandbag in June 2023, O’Connor warned the White House that if the then-president had suffered another fall, he would have to be placed in a wheelchair.
The White House further hid Biden from the press by having him avoid questions from reporters during events and by holding the fewest number of press conferences in comparison to his predecessors in the last century, besides former Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.
After Biden’s disastrous performance during the June 27, 2024, debate, the White House and corporate media rushed to attribute the then-president’s raspy voice and confused state to a cold. Democrats, realizing that his performance would likely lead him to lose to the then-presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, called on Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.
Before the election, Tapper discredited concerns about Biden’s health by stating that he is just old and has a stutter. Thompson blamed the media for covering up Biden’s decline during his appearance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
