White House hopeful Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is making his move to take control of the rudderless party, but his embrace of one toxic issue may only steer the party deeper into the political wilderness.
Following up on his historic 25+ hour anti-Trump rant, the New Jersey senator shared a video of his speech at a rally during which he gave a passionate hug and words of encouragement to a man dressed as a woman with an apparent persecution complex.
In the footage posted to X on Sunday, the sexually confused man who was wearing a Carolina Panthers cap suggested that Trump is taking away his rights, prompting the senator to walk over to him and ask for a hug before returning to his seat and preaching resistance like Spartacus as the unnamed individual and the rest of the crowd enthusiastically cheered.
I want to be incredibly clear…if we don’t take a stand to protect our LGBTQIA+ community…those who are trying to dismantle the very heart of this country will not stop. Their targets are vulnerable community after vulnerable community… well we are not vulnerable when we all… pic.twitter.com/fVmLgaRr2t

“I want to be incredibly clear…if we don’t take a stand to protect our LGBTQIA+ community…those who are trying to dismantle the very heart of this country will not stop. Their targets are vulnerable community after vulnerable community… well, we are not vulnerable when we all stand together; when we stand for each other,” he wrote.
“This is the strength they underestimate. This is the strength that will enable us to persevere and overcome,” added Booker, who emphasized that when it comes to 80-20 issues, the party will always take the side of the unpopular minority, a recipe for continued electoral doom.
X users reacted to the Booker’s man hug video.
Mate, are you trying to never have a Dem president again?

You think trans people are the heart of this country? No wonder Democrats can’t win an election.

Do you think sharing this is going to bring people over to the democrats? Keep going!

This is a man with a mental illness and should be receiving care from mental health professionals.

That’s a guy though, Cory. You have important things to focus on. This issue is a loser.
— Charmian Neary (@CharmianNeary) April 14, 2025
All good and well, but how will you protect children against this mental disorder? How will you protect females in their private spaces against these mentally sick men? How will you protect women’s sport from these disturbed men?

The ONLY way for democrats to win in 2028 or ever again is to reject this exact video. Alas

More of this, keep losing your median voters. Fucking idiots

Old school liberal Bill Maher has been a vocal critic of the party’s hitching its wagon to the “woke” cultural revolution and described Democrats as being like a “cult” with its devotion to issues that will make them an “irrelevant party if they don’t change.”
If the Democrats are indeed coming to resemble a cult, then Booker is auditioning to be the one passing out the Kool-Aid.
