Exclusive: GOP group unveils new video blasting Dems’ ‘Master Plan’ to win back voters

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) unveiled a new video Tuesday criticizing Democrats for being out of touch with everyday Americans as their party’s approval rating nears record lows, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

The RSLC, a GOP group working to elect down-ballot Republicans and conservative judicial candidates, released a video titled “Dems’ Master Plan” highlighting viral statements from Democratic Reps. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, as well as former Vice President Kamala Harris, appear to insult Americans. The new video comes as Democrats are working to win back voters and erase perceptions that the party caters to the far left and is beholden to coastal elites.

A plurality of Americans ranked abortion, LGBT rights, climate change, and “the state of democracy” as the “most important” issues to the Democratic Party, according to a New York Times-Ipsos poll released in January that surveyed 2,128 Americans. The party’s approval rating nosedived to 29%, according to a CNN poll released in March.

“Democrats’ plan to win back voters?” the narrator in the video asks.

The video then plays a soundbite of Omar in a February interview with left-wing broadcaster Mehdi Hasan in which she stated, “The dumbing of the United States has arrived because how else do you get a Trump presidency again?”

The RSLC’s video also includes a clip of Crockett appearing to dismiss the idea that $5,000 is a meaningful amount of money to the average American during a February interview on ABC News.

“While state Republicans are committed to advancing a solid policy agenda aimed at boosting America’s prosperity, Democrats continue to insult the American people by calling them uninformed,” RSLC Communications Director Mason Di Palma told the DCNF. “With a historically low approval rating, Democrats refuse to collaborate with Republicans on delivering real solutions for the American people, insisting they know what’s better.”

Just over two in ten Americans have a favorable view of Congressional Democrats’ job performance, a record low according to a February Quinnipiac University poll.

“Instead, they prioritize blocking progress and stubbornly cling to the same failed policies that the American people rejected,” Di Palma added.

Senate Democrats notably blocked legislation in February and March to bar transgender athletes from girls’ and women’s sports. The party-line vote came despite Americans overwhelmingly backing efforts to restrict biological males’ participation in women’s sports.

The RSLC also criticized Democrats for lacking “any meaningful policy solutions” to address the needs of voters, according to a statement obtained by the DCNF. Doug Schoen, who served as a pollster for former President Bill Clinton, told “Fox and Friends” Monday that the Democratic Party “doesn’t have new ideas” and lacks a compelling message for voters.

The RSLC’s Judicial Fairness Initiative invested $2 million in Wisconsin’s State Supreme Court race to support conservative candidate Brad Schimel. Liberal County Judge Susan Crawford defeated Schimel by nearly 240,000 votes in the judicial contest viewed as one of the most consequential races of 2025.
