‘Bullsh*t!’: Piers Morgan guest says not ‘one dollar’ should’ve gone to Ukraine while US vets suffer

Daily Caller News Foundation

“PBD Podcast” host Vinny Oshana said Thursday on British journalist Piers Morgan’s show that not “one dollar” from the U.S. should’ve gone to Ukraine while U.S. veterans are continuing to suffer.

Since former President Joe Biden involved the U.S. in the Ukraine-Russia war in February 2022, the U.S. has spent over $170 billion in aid for Ukraine’s defense. While discussing President Donald Trump’s push to end the overseas war, Morgan, on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” played a clip for Oshana of Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov saying that Trump is a “pragmatist,” seeking to bring “common sense.”

Oshana said that Lavrov was “making some sense” before getting into his callout of Biden’s handling of the Ukraine-Russia war.

“Let’s get back to brass tacks. But this is all because of this last administration, and there’s a contrast. Joe Biden was a doormat. Weak, spineless, and everybody, including Ukraine, including everybody, walked all over us, OK? Besides Trump, Trump is a matador, OK? He’s strong, and he’s America first, and he doesn’t play no games,” Oshana said. “Why is all this happening? Why are we where we are?”

“Why was NATO trying to expand the border when they promised not to, all the way to Russia’s border? Why did Joe Biden invite Russia, and you guys can look at the clip. He invited them to do a minor incursion. He basically invited them to attack Ukraine,” Oshana added. “Now $350 million, you guys can fact check the numbers. I’m an American, OK, and I’m a veteran as well. I don’t want $1 going to any country when we have United States veterans, me and Rob are the fortunate ones, that are dying in the streets, that are homeless.”

In December of last year, 24 veterans’ organizations signed a letter condemning the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under Secretary Denis McDonough’s leadership for allegedly delaying veterans’ access to timely medical care. The groups accused the Biden-Harris administration of conducting a ‘concerted and strategic effort’ to prevent veterans from accessing community care options after VA direct care was not immediately accessible.

“I go to VAs of veteran hospitals. Piers, it will make you cry, the type of service that my brothers and sisters go through, that served and fought and are dying for this freaking country,” Oshana said. “How many people have died in this pointless freaking war? Because you know what, up here is this whole why? War is a racket. All of this is just all about the money. I want to know, what’s the goal, Piers? Why are these people, these warmongers, they don’t give a shit about Ukraine.”

“They’re just trying to mess with Putin because they want war with Putin. You know why? Which country has the most natural resources and minerals on the planet? You want to take a guess?” Oshana asked. “Russia, $75 trillion. It’s all about the money. None of these people give a shit about the Ukrainian soldiers, Piers, zero.”

After weeks of discussions with Russia and Ukraine to bring peace between the two, the U.S. struck a mineral deal with Ukraine, but ultimately the deal was brought to a halt after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly criticized the U.S. for not attempting to halt Russia during an Oval Office meeting with world leaders. Since the heated discussion, Trump said that Zelenskyy was not ready for the deal, adding that Zelenskyy was ‘gambling’ with World War III.

“You guys want to talk about freedom. What’s the conscription that’s happening in Ukraine? I’ve seen the videos,” Oshana added. “They run up to men, sons, fathers, uncles. They grab them out of the street. They throw them in vans, and they put them in the front lines. Who’s a dictator? That’s a dictator? Two things can exist at the same time. Putin is a bad guy, but this war is bullshit.”

Despite Zelenskyy’s apparent flip-flopping on bringing an end to the war, Zelenskyy has since advocated for peace on his X, following the U.S. halt on all military aid to Ukraine.
