Bill Maher panel mocks ‘so f-ing stupid’ no-spend-day and other Dem FAILS: ‘That look on your face says it all!’

Comedian and host Bill Maher may be on the left, but that doesn’t mean he’s abandoned all common sense.

Maher and his guest panel spent a portion of his show shredding the latest protest against President Donald Trump and corporations. The left’s attempt to schedule a blackout day, where people intentionally do not spend money to send a message of dissent, did little to impress Maher.

People’s Union USA reportedly organized the protest, telling people that a no-spend day would be taking place on February 28 as a way to stick it to the system. Maher, along with guests Rahm Emanuel and Fareed Zakaria, mocked the effort.

“This is something called the People’s Union USA. And they have something called — today I got emails about this from people — no-spend day. And it’s against the malign influence of billionaires, big corporations and both major political parties on the lives of working Americans,” Maher said during “Overtime.”

“And what it is, is you refrain from making any purchases, either in stores or online, to shun fast food, getting gas — for a full day! I know! That look on your face says it all! You’re right, it’s so f—— stupid!”

Between this and the interpretive dance protest against Trump, the group can’t help but give the left a little bit of advice.

“This is why I was saying that there really is a movement of people doing interpretive dances to protest the Trump administration’s cuts of USAID,” Zakaria added. “I mean, like, people are starving. You know, the thing about not winning, as you said, is you’re left with these kinds of absurdities. The answer is figure out how to win elections.”

Then, Zakaria suggested that Democrats figure out what worked for winners like former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

“Bernie Sanders didn’t win, AOC hasn’t been president recently,” he snarked.

“Breaking news: 100,000 new community police officers, or defund the police? Now, which one do you think is going to work?” Emanuel chimed in.

“What’s really crazy about where the party’s gone, it’s taken in identity politics, that the only way you have moral standing is if you’re somehow been hurt. And that is insane.”

As BizPac Review previously reported, Emanuel dug into the mayor of Chicago’s horrible approval rating and effectively blamed it on leftist policies.

“We’ve gone through 5 years where people became way too permissive as a culture. Which is why everything is locked up at Walgreens and CVS; that’s a disaster. I don’t want to hear another word about the locker room, I don’t want to hear another word about the bathroom. You better start focusing on the classroom,” Emanuel said to applause. ” We had the worst reading scores for 8th graders in 30 years. And nobody, not a governor, not a mayor, not a president, not a secretary of education is talking about it. In 7th grade, if I had known I could have said ‘they’ and got in the girls’ bathroom, I would have done it.”

“We’re facing off with a superpower, China, and two-thirds of our children can’t read at an 8th-grade level,” he added.
