A legal filing from late Monday appears to indicate that billionaire Elon Musk is not “an employee of U.S. DOGE Service.”
White House’s Office of Administration Director Joshua Fisher reportedly wrote in the affidavit that Musk is “not an employee of the U.S. DOGE Service or the U.S. DOGE Service temporary organization.” This has confused some, as it is believed he is not only an employee, but oversees the organization’s operation.
Fisher went on to clear up the SpaceX founder’s role in President Donald Trump’s administration.
“Mr. Musk is an employee of the White House office. He holds that position as a non-career Special Government Employee (“SGE”). In that job, Mr. Musk is a Senior Advisor to the President.”
He also assured hysterical leftists that Musk is not any more or less powerful than any other similarly-titled advisor.
“In his role as Senior Advisor to the President, Mr. Musk has no greater authority than other Senior White House Advisors. Like other Senior White House Advisors, Mr. Musk has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions.”
This directly contradicts the popular Democrat narrative that Musk is running a shadow government and is somehow controlling Trump for his own benefit.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Senator Chuck Schumer was among those having a meltdown over Musk’s role.
In early February, Schumer posted his fearmongering take on DOGE to X, the Musk-owned social media platform. He accused the billionaire of “conducting a hostile takeover” and slammed DOGE as “not a real government agency.”
An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government.
DOGE is not a real government agency.
DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions.
DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law.
DOGE’s conduct cannot be…— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) February 3, 2025
“An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government. DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law. DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law,” he screeched.
