Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of having struck the Chernobyl nuclear power plant with a drone late Thursday.
This in turn has sparked accusations from skeptical critics that he’s trying to perpetrate a “false flag” to prevent upcoming peace talks.
Zelenskyy made his accusation in an English-language Twitter/X post published around approximately 2:00 am Friday morning.
Look:
Last night, a Russian attack drone with a high-explosive warhead struck the shelter protecting the world from radiation at the destroyed 4th power unit of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

He wrote that a “Russian attack drone with a high-explosive warhead” struck the power plant’s “protective shelter,” which reportedly prevents the destroyed plant’s radiation from spreading.
“This shelter was built by Ukraine together with other countries of Europe and the world, together with America – all those committed to real security for humanity,” he wrote. “The only country in the world that attacks such sites, occupies nuclear power plants, and wages war without any regard for the consequences is today’s Russia. This is a terrorist threat to the entire world.”
“Every night, Russia carries out such attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure and cities. Russia continues to expand its army and shows no change in its deranged, anti-human state rhetoric. This means that Putin is definitely not preparing for negotiations — he is preparing to continue deceiving the world. That is why there must be unified pressure from all who value life – pressure on the aggressor. Russia must be held accountable for its actions,” he added.
The replies to Zelenskyy’s post were nearly all skeptical and suspicious, with critics expressing amazement at the timing of this supposed attack. Just this week, U.S. President Donald Trump began negotiating a Ukraine-Russia peace deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“President Donald Trump … [said] that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to begin negotiations on ending the war following a dramatic prisoner swap,” according to PBS News.
“Trump said in a social media post that he and Putin held a lengthy phone call during which they committed to ‘work together, very closely’ to bring the conflict to an end and would meet in person, including perhaps in each other’s countries,” the reporting continued.
This announcement in turn spurred massive controversy and anger from Zelenskyy and his allies throughout Europe.
“We, as a sovereign country, simply will not be able to accept any agreements without us,” he told reporters, adding that European officials also deserve to be involved with any negotiations.
And now, all of a sudden, after years of fighting, Russia has suddenly struck the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Uh huh.

The drone attac on the Tschernobyl nuclear power plant was a typical Ukrainian false flag activity

To me it looks like Ukraine doesnt want any peace deals, because of $$$ corruption, so they do false flag attacks on Tschernobyl.

Ukraine attacked it again as part of a false flag. Orchestrated by the UK / EU. Watch how quickly EU and UK media start blasting accusations towards Russia without any evidence at all. This will not work. The public is no longer buying the bullshit narrative.

Except there’s no way this was Russia because it makes zero sense.
This site is on the Belarus border and has no tactical benefits.
This especially the timing is the most obvious false flag I’ve ever seen in my life
Anyone with any sense knows this was Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has been warning about an attack on Chernobyl since at least April of 2024, when he posted the following tweet:
Radiation sees no borders or national flags. The Chornobyl disaster demonstrated how rapidly deadly threats can emerge. Tens of thousands of people mitigated the Chornobyl disaster at the cost of their own health and lives, eliminating its terrible consequences in 1986 and the… pic.twitter.com/ezclAdytag
