Watch Trump’s reaction when Japanese PM says he was star-struck in his presence

President Donald Trump’s recent meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba resulted in a cute moment between the two leaders.

PM Ishiba spoke of being starstruck by Trump, whom he watched on television for “many, many years.” Trump smiled and chuckled as the foreign leader sang his praises to the American media, who often smear him in an attempt to undermine his authority.

Watch:

“This is the first time that I met with President Trump in person. So this was the first time meeting face-to-face, but for many, many years I have watched him on television so it was quite exciting to see such a celebrity on television, and to see in person. On television, he is frightening and he has a very strong personality, but when I met with him, actually, he was very sincere and very powerful and strong-willed, for the United States as well as the whole world,” the Japanese leader gushed.

While Trump’s pride was evident, X users also reveled in the moment:
