ADL defends Musk as CNN flogs big lie about ‘Nazi’ salute in first media hoax of new Trump era

It only took a few hours after President Donald J. Trump was officially sworn in for leftists to roll out their first “Nazi” hoax of the new era, and of course, it was promoted by CNN.

Once again showing their lack of imagination by trying to make everything about Hitler, the discredited cable “news” network boosted a doctored clip of Elon Musk that was posted to X by a notoriously dishonest left-wing influencer to claim that the DOGE chief fired off one of the notorious stiff-armed salutes to Der Führer.

During the Tesla/Space X CEO’s speech at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., Musk was addressing the crowd when he briefly raised his hand in the air, with nothing other than the momentary gesture to indicate that he was sending out secret messages to an army of MAGA white supremacists, as the liars in the media and other bad actors are insisting.

It was a lie so brazen that even the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) came to Musk’s defense.

“It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge,” the organization wrote. “In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.”

The ADL’s statement is a marked shift for the organization which in recent years has morphed into a one-sided partisan attack dog for the Democratic Party, a sign that times are changing, even if CNN isn’t going to accept the new reality.

Others blasted the left’s first big lie of the new administration, including CNN’s Scott Jennings.

“The unhinged effort to brand Musk a Nazi for expressing his gratitude to the crowd at Trump’s afternoon rally is evidence that these liberal loons haven’t learned a damn thing – always primed to condemn, censor, even smear,” the conservative commentator wrote in a column for the Daily Mail.

“First day in and the media is already talking Nazis. Keep at it douchebags. It’s glorious how you never learn,” wrote Fox News ratings king Greg Gutfeld.

And it wasn’t just CNN, but also sitting members of Congress who flogged the Nazi salute hoax.

Musk himself may have put it best, suggesting that it’s time for Democrats and their surrogates to retire the Hitler card, for good.

“Frankly, they need better dirty tricks,” he wrote on X. “The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”

It says much about the dirty hypocrites on the left that many of the same people who turned a blind eye to the explosion of rabid anti-Semitism over Israel’s justified response against Hamas terrorists in Gaza are quick to insinuate that Musk is a closet Nazi.

In another sign that CNN isn’t about to change its ways, the network’s “fact checker” Daniel Dale – a virulently anti-Trump Canadian blogger who was hired for his selective spin – called Trump’s inaugural speech in which he destroyed the outgoing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris a ‘lie-a-minute” speech, a description that could accurately apply to virtually all of CNN’s programming.

Dale’s “fact check” was delivered to Jake Tapper after the perpetually whiny anchor for the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news” and his employer were just spanked for at least $5 million by a Florida jury for the defamation of a Navy veteran on Tapper’s own show, a perfect example of how little that facts matter to CNN, a pure propaganda outlet that isn’t going to let the results of an election stop it from tripling down as a disinformation factory.
