‘Biden’s gone off the deep end’: Mike Lee rips POTUS for ‘deeming’ unratified amendment into existence

Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah, blasted President Joe Biden for “deeming” a constitutional amendment into existence right before his term ends.

The 2024 election cycle brought much ado about “democracy” and how the American people need to “protect” it by rejecting President-elect Donald Trump. According to leftists, he’s going to flip the Constitution on its head and ruin the United States by changing things unilaterally.

Something like, perhaps, inventing a Constitutional amendment and then declaring it the “law of the land” without going through the standard ratification process? Because that’s exactly what Biden did on Friday.

In a video clip posted by conservative actor James Woods, Biden is seen declaring that the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is now irrefutable law and was adopted as a constitutional amendment.

“Today, I affirm the Equal Rights Amendment to have cleared all the necessary hurdles to be added to the U.S. Constitution NOW,” Biden declared in his speech. “The Equal Rights Amendment is the law of the land, NOW. It’s the 28th Amendment to the Constitution NOW.”

He did the same on social media, where the post was quickly hit with a Community Note:

“Deeming a proposed, but unratified amendment into existence as part of the Constitution isn’t just lawless,” he wrote. “It’s anti-constitutional. Biden’s gone off the deep end—far more so than I ever expected.”

“Deeming an unratified constitutional amendment into existence is as bad as deeming a ratified constitutional amendment out of existence,” he said in a follow-up post.

The left swore Donald Trump was going to be a Dictator and here we see Joe Biden announcing to everyone he personally ratified a new Admendment to the Constitution. This wasn’t a Biden gaffe either. He had a teleprompter and made this announcement in a speech before this post.
