‘Just a great year’: Trump rings in 2025 at star-studded Mar-a-Lago event

President-elect Donald J. Trump celebrated the New Year at Mar-a-Lago, which he dubbed the “center of the universe” last week. Accompanied by the former and future first lady, Melania Trump, the president rang in the new year with plenty of positive vibes.

“Just a great year; I think we’re going to do fantastically well as a country; we’re going to bring it back; it has to be brought back,” Trump told reporters as he arrived.

The future first lady wore a sleek, somewhat revealing black floor-length gown, while Trump wore a black dinner jacket and bowtie.

Included among the star-studded attendees was “first buddy” Elon Muck, a regular these days at Trump’s estate in Palm Beach, FL, along with his son and mother, Maye. Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha were also on hand, as was Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Also spotted walking the red carpet were Trump attorney Alina Habba and long-time Trump confidant Roger Stone.

The nation’s 45th and 47th president can be seen showing off his iconic dance moves below:

Donald Trump Jr. was seen walking the red carpet alongside socialite and rumored girlfriend Bettina Anderson, amid reports that he and Kimberly Guilfoyle split up — the president-elect’s eldest son and namesake was also celebrating his 47th birthday.

Eric Trump and wife Lara were also present, with Trump’s daughter-in-law singing a cover of Tom Petty’s song “I Won’t Back Down” at the event.
