John Morgan, a Democratic megadonor who backed President Joe Biden and had little use for his replacement, Vice President Kamala Harris, had some high praise for President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Keep in mind that Morgan, who has called for a third party in America, is reportedly mulling a run for governor in his home state of Florida — the man who made a fortune chasing ambulances changed his registration from Democratic to Independent a few years ago due to the radical left’s influence on his now-former party.
In speaking with Politico, Morgan tipped his hat to Trump playing off the president calling himself a “stable genius” in 2018.
“I don’t know if Trump is a stable genius, but he’s a f*cking genius,” Morgan told the outlet. “He tapped into something the Republicans never saw, which was anger and populism on that side.”

Trump’s disposition will go a long way toward deciding who will replace Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2026 when his second and final term is completed.
Morgan predicted that Harris would lose to Trump and after the election, he essentially canceled her over serious concerns about campaign finances — Harris raised $1.5 billion, yet reportedly ended her short-lived White House bid $20 million in debt.
“All of a sudden, everybody’s got the keys to the candy store, ad buyers, talent consultants. There’s 100 days to do it, and the money started pouring in,” Morgan said in an appearance on NewsNation’s “CUOMO.”
There were reports of millions spent on private jets and millions more being doled out to celebrities in exchange for their endorsements. Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé were named as recipients of the windfall.
“I think this disqualifies her forever. If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America,” he said, before adding, “The same thing is going to follow Harris for the rest of her career. She cannot be trusted with the money, and the donors are going to be, like, ‘Where is this money?’”
Morgan helped legalize medical marijuana in Florida and was the face of a failed attempt in November to legalize weed altogether in the state.
“Do I use marijuana? Hell, yes. When do I use marijuana? every [expletive] day,” Morgan said earlier this year. “They don’t call me pot daddy for nothing.”
