Burchett: ‘We’re close to a government shutdown and Biden drops this bombshell’

President Joe Biden’s administration is expected to announce yet another billion-dollar aid package to Ukraine, and Rep. Tim Burchett is not happy.

Under the Biden administration, Ukraine has received upwards of $60B in military aid, which earned the president a fair amount of criticism from the right. Many believe that Americans are suffering too much at home to let so many taxpayer dollars be sent overseas. Now, Biden is using the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) to justify sending $1.2B to the country.

Sources reportedly told Reuters that the package is expected to include “air defense interceptors and artillery ammunition.”

Burchett reposted the announcement on X, reminding Americans that their own government is on the verge of a shutdown, and this is what is at the top of the administration’s priority list.

Another X user used a video to draw a stark contrast between the Ukrainians receiving billions of US tax dollars, and American hurricane victims who continue to suffer as winter sets in.
