President-elect Donald J. Trump couldn’t resist taking advantage of the mysterious drone situation in New Jersey to wickedly jab the state’s former Governor Chris Christie.
The ABC News pundit and twice-failed GOP presidential candidate has been a fierce critic of Trump, a former ally, who has frequently been needled about his obesity by the soon-to-be 47th president who did it again with an AI-generated image suggesting that Christie’s appetite for McDonald’s could be a reason for the drone activity.
In the meme posted to Truth Social, Christie is depicted sitting in front of more than a half dozen Mickey D’s burgers and two bags while holding one of the fast food sandwiches in each hand while a swarm of drones with large red delivery bags bearing the golden arches logo hovers in the background.
Trump also posted the Christie-drone meme to his X account where he has 96 million followers.

“We now know the source of the drones over New Jersey,” one X user wrote with others also reacting to his ridiculing of Christie.

The sightings of the mysterious and unexplained unmanned aerial vehicles in the skies over the Garden State have raised questions about what the government knows amid the outgoing Biden administration’s lackadaisical reaction.
On Friday, Trump called for the drones to be shot down.
“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge,” the president-elect wrote on Truth Social. “I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”
It’s not the first time that Trump has ribbed the morbidly obese ex-governor over his girth, referring to him as a “fat pig” during events while Christie was still in the race.
There was also the brutal doctored video of Christie’s speech announcing his formal entry into the 2024 race that was altered to depict him at a buffet line hoisting an overflowing plate of food.

Trump also posted another Christie buffet-related meme when he shared a picture of the former governor at what he said was a Roy Rogers restaurant.

The drones are no laughing matter though, and New Jersey’s current governor, Democrat Phil Murphy, wrote a letter to President Joe Biden calling for more help from the federal government.
“While I am sincerely grateful for your administration’s leadership in addressing this concerning issue, it has become apparent that more resources are needed to fully understand what is behind this activity,” Murphy said in the Friday letter.
